Some new details on September’s solo show: I dropped the “stinking fogges” reference and am going with “Welcome to Fogland: Explorations of a fog-lover, from the streets and parks of San Francisco’s Inner Sunset.” The piece above, “Hemisphere,” is part of the show. The hemisphere in question sits at the edge of the Golden Gate Park ballfields. I imagine it serves some mundane purpose — perhaps covering up some bit of parks department equipment — but I prefer not to know; I prefer the air of quirky mystery.
Opening reception for the show, and your best time so far to see it, is set for September 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. It will be part of North Beach First Fridays art crawl. Hope to see you there!
