Seven Days of Twilight: Day Three

On clear days in the western part of San Francisco, the last sea light pouring down east-west streets can be both breathtaking and heartbreaking. I like to catch it on the surface of houses, like this one on Irving Street … especially when I can find a spot without parked cars. The wooded paths of Golden Gate Park are equally lovely, with the bonus of relative quiet (relative, because one usually hears the whoosh of traffic which, when distant and muffled by trees, almost resembles the sound of ocean surf). The dusk greenery I’ve included today comes from the San Francisco Botanical Garden, in Golden Gate Park.
