Alignment

The fastidious side of me loves finding balanced scenes like this. Surely the fastidious side of someone loved laying out these elements at Kezar Stadium, at the east end of Golden Gate Park. Until 1970-71, amazingly enough, the SF 49ers played at this venue. It’s been revamped a couple of times since then; this image was on a foggy morning earlier this month.

“Leavings” from A Walk in the Park

March 30 was National Take a Walk in the Park Day. Yes, really. You don’t have to ask me twice to do that. Golden Gate Park is awash in flowers after our winter rains, but my two favorite takeaways from a morning walk were images of leaves. Here they are, maple leaves from the AIDS Memorial Grove, and as-yet-unidentified large leaves found near the Lily Pond.
